The End

 It has been a crazy year. A lot of people have tried to point out that this is clearly the end of it all. Some think a catastrophe will just wipe out the planet, others are sure Jesus will return. There is one verse that people seem to ignore when making these claims.

Mark 13:32

“But concerning that day or that hour, no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

In this week’s analysis video for Songs of Thankfulness and Praise, verse four was taken directly from Matthew 24:29-31.

Verse four is as follows:

Sun and moon shall darkened be.
Stars shall fall, and heavens shall flee;
Christ will then like lightning shine,
All will see His glorious sign:
All will then the trumpet hear;
All will see the Judge appear;
Thou by all wilt be confessed,
God in Man made manifest.

This gives us a pretty good idea of what will happen someday, remember though, no one knows when.

We can expand on this some and look at an earlier bible section in Matthew 24:3-14

As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray. And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.”

“Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name's sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

You can debate if these things have already happened or not all you want. The biggest takeaway here is to not stay away and believe the false teachings, they mascaraed in a number of ways; religion, politics, some even try to disguise themselves as science.

Do not stay away and be confident that even if we all hear that trumpet tomorrow you will be with your savior. Not from any of your deeds but for the love that was displayed on a cross and the resurrection that demonstrates death’s lack of power.
