Think Before You Sing

I have done a few different things with songs that have the word blind in the title. Most recently I did a blog post on the song She Blinded Me With Science. This prompted me to run a search on Bible Gateway for the word blind. This kicked back eighty-five results ranging from Genesis to Revelation. I think the most common thing we think of when looking for blind in the bible is the times Jesus healed blind men. We see numerous examples but one can be found in Matthew 9:27-31 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” And their eyes were opened.  Ever sense I did the video on Blinding Lights , I wanted to go back in time a little and take a look at the song She Blinded Me With Science . She Blinded Me With Science was written by Thomas Dolby. It tells the story of a beautiful women and the effects she has had on the singer. This song really only has a Chorus, a Verse, and a Bridge. The chorus however is changed ever so slightly every time it is sung.
