How can you fight that demon?

Sometimes we forget how real the spiritual world is. We fail to realize how hard it is to live with temptation because we view ourselves as successful and in control. We believe we are responsible for our accomplishments and disregard God’s handiwork in even the minuscule. We ignore how much we are attacked in a verity of ways by Satan and his demons.

They're on my back
I run, but I can feel their talons
digging in my flesh
Blood trickles down upon the earth
And I grow weaker with each breath
Each time I shake one off
another wraps its teeth around my neck
And every time, the one, the thorn is there
To tear me down again

This is a small section of the lyrics from the song LayingThe Demon To Rest by Theocracy. This is one way to remind ourselves that even when times are good it has very little to do with us. On the other hand, when the thorn persists, God has not abandoned us, and that is the only reason we stand a chance against our demons.

The angels counterstrike
Their flaming swords slice through
the fallen ones
The demons reunite, attack again
The cycle has begun
Caught in the middle of this present darkness
with nowhere to run
We're in a holy war
As it is written, so shall it be done

Even with help we are still no match for the terrors that haunt us. We must understand and fully accept Christ to let Him Fight for us.

John 15:5
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.

We need Him so much more then we even realize. Even with the best intentions we fail. We know the payment has been made and we can let Him take care of this fight knowing He is the victor.

Where there's a will, there's a way, they say
But sometimes my will seems to get in the way
So You will have to fight for me today
