Everything that has breath
Let everything that
has breath
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord
Let everything that has breath
Praise the Lord our God
Now, this idea that is taken directly from Psalm 150:6 is not surprising. We know we should be praising the Lord. Sometimes the issue is knowing. Because we know this is a good thing we don’t stop and think about it. We know there is a loving creator we know we are saved and yet we live our lives angrily, complaining about every small thing.
Let’s take a small example of stubbing your toe. We often get angry and completely ignore God in the situation. When we could easily use it as a reminder that we have a toe and can praise Him for it. And if you don’t have a toe that probably also can lead you to be angry, but you can praise God for preventing you from ever experiencing stubbing your toe.
It is so easy to be brought down by even the small things of this world. Here we are, called to praise in every possible way and every possible situation. Not because we are told to but because the news of our Savior is so powerful that we have to. Jesus defeated death, not for himself, but for you, so that He can spend eternity with you.
