Climbing Up The Charts
Oh oh on the radio

Oh oh counting down the hits
Oh oh on the radio bikini
Oh oh burning up the charts
We want to focus on that last line burning up the charts. This we tied to songs or radio stations competing to be number one. How often do we compete to be number one?
This can be in a variety of different ways and how often are they truly helpful? Sometimes you can use a comparison to help push you to the goal but it is so easy to let it overtake you; and you end up striving to be the best, just to show how much better you are then someone else.
Colossians 3:23-24
Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that
from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving
the Lord Christ.
Philippians 2:3-4 ESVUK
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit, but in humility count others more significant
than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also
to the interests of others.
Most of all do not forget where salvation comes from, remembering that no matter what you try you could never earn it.
Ephesians 2:8-10
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing;
it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we
are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared
beforehand, that we should walk in them.
