Are you comfortable?
I, I am a foreigner
Got a fire in my soul, never giving up
And I know I don't belong right here
I know I don't belong right here
Fight till I make it home
But keep my eyes to the skies even if I don't
And I know I don't belong right here
I know I don't belong right here
We are only visitors here, not called to set our residence, but to bring others home with us.
James 4:14
What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then
vanishes.
Our home is being prepared and one day we will be there together. We do not belong here, but we can make an impact. All it takes is sharing this promise that home is better than we can imagine. Should we be comfortable in this place? Should we be pushing ourselves to live like this is temporary and better is coming. Should we let the fire burn as we know the promise, that continued promise of joy.
John 14:1-4
“Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my
Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I
go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will
come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And
you know the way to where I am going.”
